FALL INTO FALL

So, that time of year is here again, Autumn, land of pumpkin spice lattes and apple picking. As any salon knows, this is where we really need to stock up on any variation of red hair dye we can get our hands on. After a long hot summer and a million highlights, everyone wants a dramatic change.

Last year "Cowboy Copper" was the word on everyone’s lips. Salon M was transformed into a "Dude Ranch" of clients wanting a variation of this color. So, what is the BIG REQUEST this year? We are getting a lot of requests for "Teddy Bear Bronde", "Red Wine", and "Mushroom Brown".

 

It’s important to know whether your skin tone is cool or warm before choosing a hair color.  Did you know that there are warm red tones and cool red tones? Warm browns and cool browns? Most people don’t realize that they actually have a choice. There are a few ways to discover your skin tone and many times your stylist can help you.

 

It’s also important to know that if you are going from a very light blonde to a shade that is three levels darker, you will need to do an additional step in your color process to replace some of the missing pigments in your hair. If you try to skip this step, your new deep color will fade off very quickly and you will be left with a very wishy washy version of what you actually wanted.

 

Whether you decide to go dark, go red, go short or go shaggy, have fun and do something different and exciting.
